The Women of Northern Albania!
Pran
Pran lives in a guest house in a small village just outside of Theth called Nderlysaj. Her house is a quick thirty minute hike away from the Blue Eye of northern Albania. She has a great deal of land where she grows her own crops and has livestock.
Lule
Lule lives with her son and his wife in Shllak. Their traditional stone home is nestled in the mountains, just downhill from a large field. There they cultivate the field and raise pigs, chicken, and turkey in addition to keeping bees.
Pashke
Pashkë is 80 years old and was born in Vukaj. She lives in Bordaj, and has for 62 years. She often visits her daughter, Lule, and her husband.
Tonine
Tonine lives with her husband in Shllak. Their house sits on the side of the mountain looking out into the expansive valley below. In the surrounding area, several terraced fields filled with grapes and chestnuts can be found.

File lives in a discrete part of the Zbuq, Vukaj, Shllak region with her extended family. Her house itself was difficult to access by off road vehicle. Her house was isolated from other houses in the area by a twenty minute walk.
Age
Age currently lives with her son and daughter in law at a guest house that they run in Vermosh, near the border of Montenegro. Situated uphill from a riverbed that can fill and cut them off from the road on the other side, their home houses tourists for parts of the year. Upstairs, her daughter in law keeps a room with xhubleta and other traditional clothing on display.
